According to a statement from the Inter-services Public Relations (ISPR,) the Army Chief visited the Sonmiani firing ranges near Karachi on Friday to view the Air Defence Firing Exercise.
Appreciating the professionalism and standards of the participating units, Gen Sharif emphasised that highest standards of training and professionalism must remain the military's hallmark to accomplish the given mission.
Full range of air defence weapons including Guns and surface to air missiles were used in the exercise.
While interacting with the troops, COAS reiterated that the multidimensional security threats faced by the country required a high state of preparedness at all times.
Earlier, on arrival at the Range, COAS was received by Lieutenant General Muhammad Zahid Latif Mirza, Commander Army Air Defence Command.

Your problem General is that you speak too loud, not knowing that the enemy is not that far. He has heard you loud and clear and answered you as well; in his manifeto he has given you the new military strategy of first strike, which will give you the puzzle to solve. How can two combatants can declare with transparency the first strike strategy not clarifying who will be the first to strike? Now sir, your task is to find the solution and stop displaying yourself in combat khaki which impresses no one but your Jawans.

This is what an army should be like, prepared at all the times to defend the geographical borders of the country. Enemy is all around us and we have to be strong enough to deters bad intentions of our enemies and leave the civil matters on civilian institutions. An iron smith can't take the job of a jeweler effectively and vice versa.
Please control the security situation in your cities first, then we will believe any leader in Pakistan of any institution in the country.
All these guys need to first build credibility. The country's largest city bleeds and they all just stand by.
