While the city has hosted many free medical camps, this is the first time that one is being organised in Sukkur for a free heart check-up.
The camp is being jointly organised by the Sukkur Hindu Panchayat and Shadhani Darbar Hayat Pitari. Sukkur Hindu Panchayat president Mukhi Eshwar Makheja told The Express Tribune that this camp is being organised keeping in mind the rise in heart disease cases, especially among children.
Makheja added that famous cardiac consultants and surgeons from the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute in New Delhi, India, will be performing the check-ups.
The medical professionals include Dr Yugal Kishore Mishra and Dr Neeraj Awasthy and they will be focusing on children with atrial septal defect.

@Syed: To all those people who have dared to speak against me @Syed
What will you do? Blow yourself up in front of your screen and hope we die?? fortunately for us, suicide bombing doesnt work well on the internet.
@ Syed - You want Kashmir because Pakistan has 'K' in its spelling. What a stupid argument. You have 'A' and would therefore want Afghanistan? What you really deserve is Taliban (and you have a 'T' for that!!)
@Syed: Can not compromise on Kashmir but you compromised on East Pakistan many years back and now what is the situation in Balochistan is not a secret but you will chant Kashmir Kashmir. India has spent enormous fundss for the development of Kashmir Railways has reached Baramulla and what is the condition of Pakistan railways every one knows. have added an inch of railway track in POK the answer will be no because you failed to save the rail inferastructure which was left by the Britishers during partition so think about development Kashmir will remain here and you can take any time.
To all those people who have dared to speak against me @Syed I say only this much, that unless India accepts Pakistan in FULL i.e. including Jammu and Kashmir (the "K" in Pakistan) NO gesture by so-called "heart-specialists" from India or wherever will suffice etc etc ... the fact is that Pakistan and Pakistanis (the patriotic ones that is) will NEVER accept India in what it regards as its current form either unless and until it accepts that J&K is an eternal part of PAKISTAN, period. Until then, all this talk of "humanity" etc is just that... ALL TALK. For us Pakistanis it is all about J&K because that is our jugular vein, and our goal... and India is the "eternal enemy" ONLY because of that... and always will be!
Thank you, Indian doctors! And sorry for all the negative remarks. We tend to get carried away in misplaced nationalism. Let's not forget that "violence begets violence..." as was said by Gandhi; and many of us from both the sides need to learn this. Hatred stems out of fear.... We need to learn how to forgive and forget... many nations in the world have done this and moved on.
@ syed everything is conspiracy for you. Nothing can be done of such minds keep up your narrow mindedness . Shameful you don't even trust the the ill pakistani patients that come to india for affordable treatment. To think of them as spies shows how much you trust your fellow countrymen.
@Syed: First you don't want your children to get western polio vaccines, then you don't want them to be treated for heart disease by Indian doctors.
Future seems bleak for Pakistani children
@Syed Take a rest man, Search Fortis in google. Fortis is worldwide reputed brand in Medical treatment & Technology.(Of-course Not every one can afford to consult with their specialist doctors) & They are in your country for free charity camps. After so much hatred towards us, i think fortis should help in home. (Charity begins at home)
@Syed: Not big heart but biggest heart but talk to the patients aand their parents who visited India for heart treatment in Dehli and Banglore hospitals and they will tell you who has big heart.
@Arif Sheikh: Ask this question to the parents of those childern with heart problems whohave been treated in Dehli and Banglore Hospitals and you wioll get the answer .
at one level this is business pure and simple- Fortis is a corporate organisation run simply on basis of making money-the free medical camps is a way to get more business - this is no charity
This is what life is all about, serving humans, sick, needy and deprived. Basic humanity is above religious divide. I wish I were a medical doctor and could do the same to overcome foundries, and spread the love and humanity. One can only wish we all learn and follow these great healers.
Yes, from Turbat to sukkur, India consider it as Sindudesh or Sapta Sindhu, one of our holy pilgrimage sites and therefore distinct from Scythian occupied, rest of Pakistan.
@Syed: That is one way of saying 'Thank you" to the Indian doctors who treat hundreds of Pakistani Kids free of cost.
@Syed: First thing, why did they have to invite doctors from India? Two possibilities, either pakistani doctors are not expert into cardiac treatments or doctors in Pakistan don't care much about minorities. Take a pick.
Thank you for the kind gesture. I'll pray that they stay safe during their visit with the kind of security in the country. Thank you. Humanity is a universal religion.
@Syed
There are already Pakistani actors/actresses trying their luck in India since past few years. None of them got threatened or murdered by BJP/RSS/CIA/RAW/MOSSAD/KGB/KFC/McD and all those Indian agents. Even some of Pakistan's top singers & cricketers prefer to live in India more than your beloved Pakistan.
@Syed: hmmm isn't that funny you bring religion in this? health care system in India is better compare to Pakistan so I think the chances of calling Pakistani team and that also by Muslim brothers of India are not that great!!! and we always welcome Pakistani Brother and Sister to our country just check the list of artists, singer, actor who are Pakistani but equally loved by Indian and yes bye Indian means Hindu, Sikh, Christian, Muslim, Parsi everyone ...
Good gesture. Let the doctors handle their patients irrespective of religion because we are all human first. Rab rakha
but the thing is @syed they are not invited are they? When they have best doctors in their own country, known themselves in the world for their medical tourism. Why would they seek doctors from you? Every year patients from South Asia including Pakistan and western world come to india for affordable and quality treatment by world class private hospitals. They don't need your doctors.
@Syed: Are you kidding ??? Who has a big heart here? The one giving free medical services or the one receiving it? Going by the freebies you guys receive, Indeed you are the people with largest heart in the entire world.By the way, Indian Muslims don't need doctors from Pakistan since India has hundreds of thousands doctors from every cast, creed and religion, working diligently for the people of India. Even then , if someone does invite doctors from Pakistan to India, well they are more than welcome since they may learn a thing or two form their Indian counterparts.
@Syed: According to me this indian doctors have big heart because even after all this terrorist incidents they are coming to pakistan risking their lives.
@ syed even a good gesture by your neighbour has to be twisted and turned to spew hatred isn't it?
@Syed
You're kidding me, bro ! Your heart is so overflowing with hatred that you have vitriol even for this humane effort ! If Muslim organizations did invite Pakistani doctors to do a similar job for poor Indians irrespective of religion, then there would be enormous goodwill generated for that Muslim Organization and those Pakistanis. Why don't you try and initiate such an effort !
Syed :Get off your fanaticism. The children who are treated are muslim, hindus and christians. Also remember muslim Pakistanis do come to India for various hitech affordable treatment BJP, RSS or their affiliates welcome them if u dont know it. "Big hearted Pakistanis welcome neighbours" ? why not. they are the beneficiaries. arent they.
Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship...........Shakyamuni
I wish the welfare of my Hindu country fellows. May they live in peace, freedom and happiness in their homeland.
@Arif Sheikh what??why?? WHY????? Come to any Specialty hospital of New Delhi and you will find lots of Pakistani patients(incld. Kids) getting treatments. Either you have never been to school or rarely read the News papers.
If Pakistani Doctors are invited in India by some Muslim organization, I ask what will be the reaction of indian media & political parties especially BJP ,RSS & their affiliates. These are big hearted Pakistani people who welcome our neighbors & respect minorities wishes.
Before we make this yet another issue of one-upmanship, let's all take a deep breath. This is a medical camp, and aimed at people who are ill, especially children. Let's keep our respective vitriol aside for now and pray for the health of the affected. Let us also pray that nobody is crazy enough to target this camp, because that would really be a tragedy!
Hilarious
@arif sheikh. "What?? Why??" Keep your small heart with you. Let those heart patients benefit.
What?? Why???
Great gesture by our neighbours. May peace prevail forever.
Good job.The patients should get the best healthcare possible.
