KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) gave on Thursday a last chance to policeman Shafiq Tanoli to answer the allegations of running a private force that is involved in kidnapping citizens. Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, who headed the bench hearing the missing persons’ cases, also warned that the court will issue warrants for the officer’s arrest in case he failed to comply with the orders. On April 7, Sindh IGP Iqbal Mehmood had demoted and suspended Tanoli, the then SHO of the Mawach Goth police station, to defend the allegations of illegally raiding a house located in Sea View. Petitioner Kifayatullah said, in his plea, that the police had taken away his brother, Ghulamullah, and a dozen other relatives from Masroor Colony on February 19.
