Heinous Crime: Woman shot dead by ‘admirer’

Imran Ali, 25, a resident of Harappa came to the Inaami Khood village and asked Sana* to go with him but she refused.

FAISALABAD: A 20 year old woman was shot dead by an admirer when she refused to go with him, police said on Thursay. Police said Imran Ali, 25, a resident of Harappa came to the Inaami Khood village and asked Sana Iqbal* to go with him but she refused. Ali then shot her, killing her on the spot. Her mother sustained serious injuries trying to save her. The suspect managed to escape, police said. Iqbal’s mother was taken to tehsil headquarters hospital in a critical condition. Kamalia Saddar SHO said police had registered a case against Imran and his two brothers. The SHO said early investigation had revealed that Imran Ali was working abroad. He said he was apparently known to the deceased. A police team has been formed to trace of the suspects, the SHO said.
