In the notice, the FIA has sought answers from the former prime minister to 14 questions, some of them regarding his affiliation with a person named Faisal Siddiqui.
In the investigations that have been going on for more than a year the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has nominated, among other individuals, three former heads of the TDAP, two of whom have been arrested.
Last month the FIA issued a notice to former commerce minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim, the main accused in the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) corruption scandal.
The FIA has filed more than 65 cases regarding the scandal. The investigation is in its final stages.
