A senior official on Monday denied Iranian claims that its border guards, who were abducted by Jaishul Adl militant group, were released in Pakistan.
“According to our information, the Iranian border guards were released after Iran freed 8 members of the Jaishul Adl from Zahedan jail,” said the official while requesting anonymity. “The exchange took place on the Iranian soil,” the official said, adding that Tehran was deliberately trying to ‘externalise’ its own domestic problem.
The official said Pakistan extended full cooperation to the Iranian authorities to recover the abducted guards but could not find any evidence suggesting they were brought into the country.
The abducted Iranian border guards reunited with their families on Sunday.

If this is true that those were freed inside Iran, why then the official comments on the condition of anonymity? The govt. then can clearly state so. There should be nothing to hide. Our foreign office has been denying such claims in the past against even US, very boldly.
It is unfortunate that Iran is again going to play 'Policeman' role for America. The new regional alliances have taken place in Middle East. With the passage of time the behavior of Iran towards Pakistan would be erratic and unreasonable. On petty issues Pakistan would be blamed by Iranian Government to make Pakistan a scapegoat for realizing anticipated results aiming at to suit hegemonic designs of Imperialists.
The Foreign Policy now adopted by Iranian Leadership is best suited to Iran's vested interests. It is up to Pakistan now to formulate a Foreign Policy that should defend and safeguard its vested interests only.
The militants live inside Pakistan .. so why would they keep the kidnap victims in Iran? Face it - Pakistan has zero credibility on these types of issues. You still deny the existence of the Quetta Shura, denied OBL was in Pakistan, and somehow ignore giving Haqqani sanctuary when you profess your support of the Afghan govt.
nothing is free in this world..
I fail to understand that why Iranians are in the habit of blaming Pakistan for all their internal problems and why Govt. of Pakistan has always failed to give a strong response. Iranians have even threatened of hot pursuit inside Pakistan and unfortunately there has not been a proper response from our side. Its time that we should make them realize that we are not a defenceless country and no one should take us for granted.
