The privilege motion has jointly been signed by the Awami National Party (ANP) parliamentary leader Sardar Hussain Babak, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) lawmaker Nighat Orakzai, Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) parliamentary leader Sikandar Hayat Sherpao and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam – Fazl (JUI-F) MPA Mehmood Khan Bhittani.
The motion reads that on April 5 Imran Khan threatened to dissolve the K-P provincial assembly. It stated that Khan’s statement was against democratic norms, amounted to an attack on the parliamentary process and attempted to intimidate members of the assembly.
It further stated that the statement has breached the privilege of all the members of the assembly and the privilege of this the house.
Background
Imran Khan on April 4 had stated that he would rather dissolve the provincial legislature and call fresh elections than caving in to the "forward bloc’s blackmailing".
The warning had came hours after 14 PTI legislators handed their resignations from the assembly membership to the deputy speaker, Imtiaz Shahid.

@Mamu:
Has the top level corruption really been eradicated from KPK in its entirety? Furthermore, the governor and IGP are direct appointees of the federal government and hence if these folks are not indulging in any sort of corruption, it is to the credit of the federal government for appointing such individuals of integrity and character in the first place.
As for CM KPK, the guy is an established tax evader, PTI MPs are openly condoning and themselves indulging in power theft across the province, mining infrastructure worth billions is being provided to the business interests of Jehangir "Learjet" Tareen at taxpayers expense, speaker KPK assembly used his office to illegally appoint his political supporters on key government postings in KPK disregarding merit. These are just a few transgressions one can think of with regard to PTI government's claim of dismantling corruption from KPK. If PTI has zero tolerance for corruption, why didn't the government book QWP ministers on charges of corruption and graft?
@Sam: No use to convince the PMLN supporters. They will never change their stance and blindly follow their 3rd time selected leader.
The only sane, logical and straight forward person i can see in Pakistani Politics is Imran Khan.
@Rex Minor: Sad to see your comment. I thought you were an intellectual person.
@Faisal: Pleae do not mis quote. What IK said is that Top level corruption will be eleminated with in 90 days. Which has been done. Your CM, IG Governor are no longer in corrupt practices.
The problem is the outside interference in the KPK politics. Even the PTI MP of KPK have been sick and tired of outside dictates. CM of KPK can ask for re-elections not an outsider. Current KPK govt is made of JI and the politicians who used to be part of ANP and PPP not too long ago. There is hardly much difference among them. The question is KPK MP should be allowed to take care of their own provincial affairs not outsiders. IK should take care of his own kids and lead them first.
BTW did people read some of the polls today. IK and the PTI are not perfect but they have made an excellent start and given time, will begin to change the political culture. The Bhuttos and the Sharifs have been in power for decades and bar the Swiss bank accounts, what can they show for it.
ANP + PPP + JUI(F) + QWP. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA.
@Ahmed: But Imran Khan is not the chief Minister of KPK? The guy is a fool and should be declare d on non grata by the KPK parliament!
Rex Minor
If these guys are as confident as they say they are, then IK calling an election should be great news as the opposition should win: but we know that IK will win again and with an even a bigger majority. PTI keep up the good work.
Tsunami is being buried under the inadequacies of PTI. A bunch of lottas with no ideological cohesion other than opportunism, led by a confused lunatic, couldn't last long.
I am just loving it. Since ANP, PPP and JUI-F have no scandal to raise against the government, they want something to tell people that they still exist. Poor guys :D
The looser here are afraid of what IK can do... He can simply send them home and knew election wil further engrave them..
@Jibran: Sleeping with the murderers of 50000 pakistanis? Yes IK is so pro TTP that he started one of the biggest vaccination drives in the history of Pakistan (which was such a resounding success that even the other provinces followed) which the TTP have publicly denounced. Also, most of their factions even sent personal threats to IK during the inaugural period of this program and yet he lead it himself. Just because he is anti war and because he speaks out against a potential waziristan operation that will endanger 700,000 PAKISTANIS does NOT make his pro-ttp my friend.
Finally something significant coming out of KPK Politics. Hope we soon get rid of these Jokers in the Government.
If for some reasons new elections are called, what can be call more democratic? Instead of fighting here and there, they'll get a chance to prove their popularity through elections and get a new mandate.
Where is the ANP leader Asfandiyar Wali Khan these days by the way. In Dubai, England or Malasia for his business.
@Adnan Siddiqi: on the other hand the suvays conducted and talk shows asking people's opinion on kpk gov, 70%+ said they are satisfied by the kpk gov. This leads 1 to question ur idea of where kpk is.
Yep moral authority says the person (@Jibran) whos done absolutely nothing for pak instead of sitting and criticising those who have spent their lives for the betterment of pak. As for the 50,000 people how is he resp? He's not the PM, not the CM, not the army head, not the isi head. Stop criticising for the sake of criticising.
@Jibran: Kindly enlighten us.. What corruption are you talking about?
Bunch of losers complaining but there is no listener....
these idiots who belong to ANP, JUI-F, PPP & QWP does not know that Under the constitution Chief Minister can dissolve the Assembly.
@Raza: Look at who is talking. Imran has no moral authority here. First, corruption is nothing compared to sleeping with the murderers of 50000 Pakistanis. Second, even on the corruption front, there is massive corruption going on KPK as we speak. Immi has become an abject failure and embarrassment for himself.
Imran Khan threatened to dissolve the K-P provincial assembly and Impose the Martial law :D:D ANP, PPP and JUI-F what a bunch of losers
Imran Khan is just confused and soon going to be victim of his own tsunami.
Yeah right and horse trading is in line with democratic norms?
