MULTAN: Additional District Collector (ADC) Ali Anan Qamar said on Sunday that government schools in the district would be upgraded on the directions of District Coordination Officer (DCO) Zahid Saleem Gondal.

Reviewing the performance of a monitoring committee in Multan, he said new furniture would be purchased for the schools.

In addition, he said the school buildings would be upgraded.

Officer had also issued instructions for equipping schools with missing facilities.

He said the district administration had made efforts to improve enrolment at these schools.

Qamar said several courses were being organised to facilitate the teachers. “The courses are yielding positive results,” he said.

Executive District Officer (Education) Shamsher Khan informed the additional district collector about reforms that had been introduced to improve the standard of education.

and District Officer (Education) Muhammad Riaz Khan were also present on the ocassion.
