PESHAWAR: A man was killed and three of his children critically injured on Saturday when the roof of their house collapsed in Achini Bala village located in the city’s suburbs. The roof of a room in Ajmal Khan’s house caved in early morning, leaving Khan and his children, eight-year-old Syed Wali, nine-year-old Saima and three-year-old Subhan, trapped under the debris. According to a village elder, neighbours pulled the trapped man and children out and shifted them to a hospital, however, Khan died on the way. “The incident occurred in the morning and the roof collapsed because of disrepair,” said the elder. Meanwhile, a house belonging to a Frontier Constabulary (FC) official was damaged in a medium-intensity blast late Friday night in Masho Khel village. According to police, the house belonged to an FC official identified as Fazale Khuda and no human loss was reported because the family had already relocated due to fear of militants.
