Sehat ka Insaf: Immunisation drive enters three more districts

Following a massive immunisation drive in Peshawar, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government will launch the Sehat ka Insaf campaign in Swabi, Charsadda and Mardan on Sunday (today). District administrations have taken appropriate measures to maintain security while the drive is being conducted.


According to Swabi Deputy Commissioner Kamran Khan Afridi, the district government has decided to impose Section 144, banning pillion riding and the display of weapons in the district on Sunday.

Additionally, with the exception of mosques and prayers, the use of loudspeakers is also strictly prohibited. “In future campaigns, motorbike riding will also be prohibited along with a ban on weapons’ display, and those who violate the law will be dealt with under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code,” said Afridi.

Similarly, the district government of Mardan has also imposed Section 144 in the district and motorbike riding is banned on the day of the campaign.

In Charsadda, the drive will be inaugurated by Minister for Health Shahram Khan Tarakai at District Headquarters Hospital.



Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) Charsadda Coordinator Dr Farhad told journalists that nearly 1,260 teams have been formed in 52 union councils of the district to immunise children against major diseases.

The EPI official added strict security measures had been adopted for the campaign and Section 144 had been imposed banning motorbike riding.
