Heritage: ‘Govt committed to preserve culture’
Lyallpur Museum an asset for students, tourists, says Parliamentary Secretary on Information and Culture.

Parliamentary Secretary on Information and Culture Rana Muhammad Arshad said on Saturday that the provincial government was committed to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of the Punjab. Talking to the media during a visit to Lyallpur Museum, he said the Punjab Arts Council had planned to celebrate the birth and death anniversaries of eminent people from the province. He said the Lyallpur Museum was an asset for students and tourists. He proposed that the museum be upgraded. Arshad said steps were being taken for rehabilitation of historical and memorable buildings in the province. Later, the parliamentary secretary called on DCO Noorul Amin Mengal and discussed ways to preserve culture and heritage.
