Research: SNGPL to sponsor chair at engineering university

The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited agrees to provide an annual grant of Rs3.32 million.

LAHORE:

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar for sponsoring a chair at the Gas Engineering Department at the university.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by SNGPL Managing Director Arif Hameed and Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani, the vice chancellor of the university.

According to the agreement, the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited would sponsor a chair for the gas engineering research.

The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited agreed to provide an annual grant of Rs3.32 million to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar on annual basis for the purpose.

The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited is already sponsoring a chair on gas engineering at the Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology University of the Punjab, Lahore.

It is also sponsoring a chair at the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.
