Infrastructure development: ‘Rs174m given to improve roads in Lyari’

Medical facilities in hospitals and dispensaries of Lyari will also be improved to facilitate poor people.

KARACHI: Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has said that Rs174 million has been provided by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to improve the roads and street lights in Lyari. The commissioner was presiding over a meeting at his office on Thursday. The meeting was convened to resolve the socio-economic problems of Lyari. He said that the construction of 35 new roads and the renovation of 45 schools have been completed under the Lyari Development Package. The problems of water supply, sewerage, electricity and gas are being addressed swiftly in Lyari, he added. In addition, medical facilities in hospitals and dispensaries of Lyari will be improved to facilitate poor people.
