The police registered a case against at least twelve people for allegedly thrashing an assistant director of the National Highway Authority (NHA), according to police sources.
The police said NHA Deputy Director Muhammad Farooq reported to the Bhara Kahu Police Station on Wednesday that around one dozen people, including suspects Shahid Baloch and Mansha, beat him up during work hours.
The incident of violence occurred at Angori Road, according to the Bhara Kahu police. They said the assailants stole Farooq’s cell phone, his organisation credentials and his wallet after thrashing him.
Police claimed the incident occurred due to a personal enmity and would not divulge more information about the incident. Bhara Kahu police have registered a case against 12 suspects, but no arrests have been made.
