May I clarify that the plot I was allotted was as per approved and declared policy of federal government.
ISLAMABAD: I hold Rauf Klasra in great esteem for his many qualities including his journalistic professionalism. His report titled "It pays to be a bureaucrat in Pakistan" in The Express Tribune of October 28, however, conveys the impression that I was the beneficiary of a special favour from the prime minister.
May I clarify that the plot I was allotted in Section D 12 of Islamabad was as per the approved and declared policy of the federal government to allot a plot in a developed sector of Islamabad to all civil servants of different occupational groups on promotion as a federal secretary. Many other colleagues were also alloted plots at the same time, under the same policy, which cotinues to this day.
