Potential trade: Thai team to examine Pakistan seafood

Thai delegation will visit different harbours to check quality of seafood processing.

KARACHI: A Thai delegation is due to visit Karachi to review possibilities of different seafood exports from Pakistan to Thailand, said director general fisheries Sindh. He said that the delegation would meet officials of the fisheries department, marine fisheries and exporters. The Balochistan Fisheries Department will also be present on  the occasion. Thai delegation will visit different harbours to check quality of seafood processing. According to an official of the director general fisheries office, there are various kinds of seafood which are not consumed in Pakistan but are considered valuable products for Thailand’s market. As a result, there is a high probability that the Thai delegation would sign a deal in this regard.
