ISLAMABAD: Former President Pervez Musharraf and his defence team will not appear before the special court in the treason trial in Islamabad on Monday, Express News reported.

Talking to Express News Musharraf’s lawyer Rana Ijaz said Musharraf will not appear before the special court and his defence team would also boycott the Monday’s proceeding.

Musharraf has been transferred to Intensive care unit (ICU) of Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) as his condition has deteriorated, said Musharraf’s counsel.

Earlier the court had issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for the retired general if he fails to appear in court on March 31.

On Saturday Islamabad police has also formed a four-member team to make sure former military ruler Pervez Musharraf appears before the special court hearing high treason charges against him.

@Salman: What a strange logic!!! When a person is so "ill" that he cannot appear in Court due to his "illness" but is willing to go abroad. You cannot mock the justice any more.
