Talking to Express News Musharraf’s lawyer Rana Ijaz said Musharraf will not appear before the special court and his defence team would also boycott the Monday’s proceeding.
Musharraf has been transferred to Intensive care unit (ICU) of Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) as his condition has deteriorated, said Musharraf’s counsel.
Earlier the court had issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for the retired general if he fails to appear in court on March 31.
On Saturday Islamabad police has also formed a four-member team to make sure former military ruler Pervez Musharraf appears before the special court hearing high treason charges against him.

@Salman: What a strange logic!!! When a person is so "ill" that he cannot appear in Court due to his "illness" but is willing to go abroad. You cannot mock the justice any more.
Will he remain in the Armed Forces Cardiology unit for rest of his life...
Now this should be a lesson for all those in uniform to obey and respect the law. Zardari should be made an example for all those in office, he thinks and it looks like, he has gotten away with his crimes by playing the race card, if he is not proven wrong than corruption, nepotism will continue. it is extremely important for Pakistan to bring Zardari to face the law
Let him go see his ailing mother. What kind of justice is this that a man cannot even visit his ill mother.
Is there any doubt left that this country is the jagir of Generals who are above any law.one can also understands conspiracy behind talks with Taliban.Military operation against terrorists means change in status quo which ultimately means serious threats to mullah military nexus.let us look on the skies!.
What a "Commando". So sick what he is doing. Should have shown some dignity.
Shame on Pakistan army and afic people for protracting him whats so wrong of coming and facing it like a man if you aren't guilty why shy away. This is the type behavior which distances people of Pakistan from its army not India not USA, army itself is to blame shame on gen raheel for protecting him are they above law ??? if you are not guilty then just come and prove your innocence. Seriously feeling ashamed of myself today for the character our army generals are showing with respect to this particular case.
ICU or not. You can not trial a military chief for treason. Patriots will not let this happen. Do what you want to do courts. You will get nothing. Musharraf served this country better than any one else. Those sitting in their palace around the world are trying to set destiny for this country. Shame on them.
How people avoid accountability. Easy to talk the talk, but certainly not walking it.
