Musharraf had requested permission to visit his mother, Zahra Musharraf, in Dubai despite having to be in court on March 31, 2014 for a hearing - but this request had been dismissed.
Doctors have said there is no update on her health yet but she is in the ICU, and are yet to give an update of whether or not she will be treated in Sharjah or Dubai.
There is no confirmation as to which family member is taking care of her as Musharraf is in Islamabad facing a court hearing. He has been informed of his mother’s health and that she has been moved to the hospital in Sharjah.

@amir jafri: Shame on all those who oppose Great Gen Musharrad travelling to Dubai to see his ailing mother. It seems they done have heart and donot understant the stautus and position of a mother. Mother is the most valuable thing for all human beings, mother is the beauty in ones life. I fail to undrstand why people have comparing this case with that of Nawaz Sharif's father, who beathed his last with his childern with him in Saudi Arabia, the Musharaff government allowed the sharif brothers to come to Pakistan on parole and this offer was declined by them, so Mian Sharif was laid to rest in Pakistan. Every mother even if she is of your worst enemy is respectable and every son/daughter has the right to see his mother espacially when she is critically sick. The government should grace and aloow Gen. Musharaff, Ex-President, Army Chief and chairman Joint chief of staff commette, the man who saved Pakistan from being bombed to stone age. Like thousands of Pakistanis I pray from the depth of my heart for the quick recovery of Gen Musharaff's mother and reunion of his son with her at the earliest. Long live Gen. Musharaff, long live Begum Zarine Musharaff
@shah: Grow up and check ur facts Nawaz.father left with him.died with all of sharifs.relatives in.Jeddah not in Pakistan Sharifs were always allowed to.leave saudi to get medication from.london and when.their Father died Musharraf personally took care of everything all of sharif family came to Pakistan except for.sharifs brothers and.that too they did it on purpose after all.hurdles were cleared to make them come to.pakistanclear ur rotten.facts what kind of Shah r u ??
How many of the 800 individuals whom Musharraf proudly admits in his self-serving book to have "disappeared" without due process got a chance to say good bye to their mothers? How many of the 51,000 people killed by terrorists who found safe heaven in Pakistan under Musharraf go the chance to say good-bye to their mothers? How will a person, who is not well enough to appear in court and is staying in a hospital, will be well enough to travel to Dubai? Pervez Musharraf has tried every trick in his dictionary to avoid facing the Court in Pakistan. If you are innocent then you have nothing to worry about!
@SHB: Agree with you. Both of them can save some money too by sharing the same hospital room at the Armed Forces Hospital.
For those who don't know. Nawaz Sharif's father died in Jeddah Saudi Arabia, not Pakistan. He was with Nawaz Sharif even in his last days,so people who are spreading such misinformation that Pervez Musharraf didn't let Nawaz Sharif see his father and that Sharif's father died in Pakistan is absolute nonsense.
The entire Sharif family was in Saudi Arabia.
Shame on those who are saying Pervez Musharraf is getting the same treatment that Nawaz Sharif did. First of all people should check the apology letter of Sharif, who apologised to Musharraf for hijacking his plane, while it was in the air for 1 hour not being allowed to land, running out of fuel, which could have killed all the passengers including Pervez Musharraf inside the plane and then asking it to go to India.
Pervez Musharraf should have hung Nawaz Sharif for what he had done but rather Nawaz was embraced by Saudi Arabia, where he lived a comfortable and luxurious life,he built an entire business empire there. If you call that a punishment then well everyone can easily opt for a punishment such as that,it was Musharraf's greatness that Sharif didn't take his last breath. As for his father,Nawaz was never banned from seeing his father. People need to get their facts straight,it is a shame and absolutely disgusting to see such ridiculous comments out here.
Long live Pervez Musharraf.
May Allah (S.W.T) give sir Pervez Musharraf's mother a speedy recovery.
Ameen.
@amir jafri: @shah: It seems memories are short. NS was allowed to come to Pakistan for the funeral and soyem but immediately leave thereafter. He did not accept and chose not to come. Note he was under agreement to be in Saudi Arabia which was his own choice.
@A: Similarly Musharraf's mother ran out to Dubai alongwith her then runaway son. They call themselves Pakistanis but prefer to live a luxurious life abroad even when their party is ruling (remember: Musharraf's protégé PMLQ was Deputy Prime Minister during the last few years of PPP). She should be brought to Pakistan where AFIC provides 5star hotel accommodation along with Court-proof security. Musharraf's American son, Bilal Musharraf, can also accompany her to Pakistan. My arguments are based on facts but I doubt ET's pro-Mush moderator allows my comments.
@Amir Jafari- People like you do nothing for Pakistan. The best you can do is leave a comment without even thinking rationaly.
I'm sure myself and others would like to hear about your contributions for this country.
I can share a list with you for all the good things Mr Musharaff did for Pakistan.
@Dr.A.K.Tewari: No it is not the test for the Islamic republic. Just ask the family to transfer the mother to Islamabad AFIC where both Mr Musharraf and his mother can be taken care by the doctors. Family is rich and can afford private transfer by air, even ten times.
@ali ahmed: It seems he has a good memory. By the way, where is Bilal Musharraf?
NS father ran out to Saudia with him and he died there. Musharraf is a brave army man of this country and he came on his own knowing all the threats to him and biased kangroo judiciary. All our prayers are with him.
