Extortion?: Grenade thrown at trader’s house

ISLAMABAD: A trader’s house in Bhara Kahu was attacked with a hand grenade on Wednesday night, according to the police. The grenade exploded in the courtyard of the house in Makkah Town, but no one was injured in the attack, the police said. Inayatullah, who runs a shop in the area, is originally from Hangu. He relocated to the capital after receiving extortion threats, according to police. The attack was preceded by a phone call in which an unidentified caller demanded that Inayatullah pay Rs4 million or face dire consequences. A case was filed against unidentified persons.
