LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday once again issued a show cause notice to the Mozang station house officer and directed the relevant superintendent to submit comments on a petition seeking the registration of a case against actress Meera and her husband for allegedly “tarnishing the image of Pakistan”.

The court also directed the respondents to appear in person before the court by April 2.

At the previous proceedings, the court had sought comments from the Mozang station house officer but neither had an official appeared nor were the comments submitted.

Shabbir Muhammad said he had watched the video, featuring Meera and her husband, on January 20 that he felt had tarnished the image of Pakistan and left a bad impression of Pakistani society. He requested the court to direct the police to register a case against Meera and husband.
