PMAS-AAUR: Blood donation society established

RAWALPINDI: Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) has established a society to arrange and provide safe blood donations for needy patients. The Aridian Life Saver Blood Donor Society aims to create awareness among the masses about the importance of blood donations. PMAS-AAUR Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rai Niaz Ahmad said there was an acute dearth of blood donors in the country and this could only be overcome if voluntary blood donation was encouraged. He said according to medical research, donating blood was very healthy for the donor as well. A large number of students and faculty registered themselves with the society for donation of blood.
