Hobby or enterprise: Workshop on bee keeping at PU
PU will remain closed for two days (Monday and Tuesday) in connection with Pakistan Day celebrations.

The Punjab University Department of Zoology’s Honeybee Research Programme’s National Beekeeping Training Workshop concluded on Friday. More than 60 representatives of federal and provincial organisations participated. The workshop’s last session was also attended by Zoology Department Chairman Prof Dr Muhammad Akhter and Honeybee Research Programme Incharge Dr Nasreen Muzaffar. Dr Akhter said the workshop aimed to create more employment opportunities through knowledge-based partnership. Dr Muzaffar said the workshop was an excellent orientation for those starting beekeeping as a hobby or a profitable enterprise. The PU will remain closed for two days (Monday and Tuesday) in connection with Pakistan Day celebrations. All the teaching and administrative departments of the PU will remain open on Sunday. All departments will organise quiz competitions, lectures and seminars to create awareness among about importance of the day. The PU will remain closed on March 24-25 in lieu of Women’s Day and Pakistan Day holidays.
