Welfare: ‘Govt working to provide clean water’

Minister praises philanthropists for setting up filtration plants in some parts of the city.

FAISALABAD: Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan said on Friday that the government had allocated millions of rupees for provision of drinking water. Inaugurating a Rs1.8 million water filtration plant at Government Girl’s High School, Union Council 258, he said a number of projects were underway at government schools and colleges as well as other public places. The minister said water filtration plants would provide clean drinking water in educational institutes as well as nearby residents. He praised philanthropists for setting up filtration plants in some parts of the city. “The business community has always cooperated with the government in completion of public welfare projects.” Several Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz workers were present on the occasion.
