Exchange of fire: Three passersby shot, injured

Accused fled scene, police registered case against him and were hunting him till the filing of this report.

RAWALPINDI: Three passersby were injured on Friday when rival group exchanged fire in Warish Khan. The Waris Khan police said Agha Nasir, a resident of Chitian Hatian, had a property dispute with his cousin Agha Shaukat and on Friday, they exchanged hot words which turned into a brawl. Shaukat suddenly whipped out his pistol and fired on Nasir. He reportedly missed the target and the bullets instead hit three passersby, who were identified as Javed, Mastan and Amir. The injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment. The accused fled the scene. The police, however, registered a case against him and were hunting him till the filing of this report.
