The officials said that the Canada Transport Security Agency had not given him a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Rashid wanted to go to Canada to attend a rally on March 23.

Sheikh Rashid was going to Canada to meet Dr. Tahir-ul- Qadri for fine tuning the national uprising starting from this summer which will overthrow this whole corrupt system out of the window within few months. It will happen even if the government stops him to go to Canada. Wait for your bad days Nawaz regime. This whole corrupt system is going to fall down. Just wait a few months.
Sheikh Rasheed has his supporters and detractors. But what happened at the airport is an insult to a seasoned politician who has held ministerial posts in past governments. It is not like he is an unscreened, first-time traveller. He has reason to feel deeply humiliated and I think the government might have had a part in this public disgrace.
@Bunty: I don't know of anyone who wants to see this character in Canada. He has discredited himself with his loud speech and refusing to honour his own words. Did he not promise to step down if the rupee drops below 100 per dollar. Well it's been under 100 for over a week and I don't see Sheikh Rashid stepping down!

He may be crude and thats why the elite (burgers) does not like him. But he seems to be the single noticeable opposition voice in National Assembly. He has the courage to speak truth in front of Mush and still honours him unlike many who are now in NS, PPP. Those asking for his resignation should tell of any major investment, policy improvement or any major positive change brought in by this govt which caused decrease of dollar. They should also change the name of Mr Shahbaz as its almost a year and no change in elec despite payment of Rs 500 billion. Moreover, they are unfamiliar with problems of Pakistan, indecisive and can only emphasis of qeema naan

From when a NOC from the Canada transport security Agency is required to visit Canada. Rubbish reason. Sheikh Rashid should file a suit in the court against the stoppage and seek compensation.

There still appears a confusion for :- Was it the 'Canada Transport Security Agency' ? OR It was 'The NS Transport Security Agency' who did NOT issued the NOC in favour of Sheikh Rasheed to travel to Canada ...... !!!!
