KARACHI: A district and sessions court reserved on Thursday the judgment in the Naseema Lubano gang-rape case after the counsels concluded their final arguments. Ahmed Saba, the district and sessions judge in district South, reserved the verdict for March 31 after hearing both sides in the second trial of the case. In 2010, the court had awarded life imprisonment to one of the 11 suspects while six were acquitted. The two absconding suspects, Munawwar Hussain and Ghulamullah alias Mor Zado, were on the run till the court announced the verdict, following which, they surrendered. The 11 suspects along with their three absconding accomplices were charged with kidnapping 18-year-old Naseema Lubano from her house in Ghotki in January 2007 and sexually assaulting her. An aged suspect, Loung Khan, who was released on bail, later died in a road mishap.
