LAHORE: The government has decided to announce incentives to exploit the vast livestock potential in terms of domestic requirements and exports.  This was stated by Punjab Agriculture and Meat Company (PAMCO) Chairman Mumtaz Khan Manais, while speaking at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. LCCI President Engineer Sohail Lashari, Vice President Kashif Anwar, former presidents Mian Anjum Nisar, Mian Shafqat Ali, Muhammad Ali Mian, Executive Committee Members Talha Tayyab Butt, Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam and Muhammad Akram also spoke on the occasion. The chairman said that new policies were being evolved to realise the export potential of Pakistan’s livestock sector through capacity building of farmers and people involved in supply chain, which starts from breeding to slaughtering and exporting. Unfortunately, linkage among various public and private sectors and people working in the livestock sector has not been established, which is the main reason for the hold back.
