Property feud?: Married couple, daughter killed

HYDERABAD: A couple was killed and their four-year-old daughter was strangled to death in Mirpurkhas on Sunday night. The retired Mukhtiarkar, 61-year-old Noor Alam Daudpoto, and his second wife, 40-year-old Mariam Daudpoto, were found dead with their throats slit in their house in Johar Colony. According to SHO Khadim Abro, the man’s body was lying on a chair while the body of the wife was on the floor. Their two-year-old daughter, Noor Fatima, was found alive. A case has been registered on the complaint of Manzor Daudpoto, the brother of the slain man. The victim’s son, Kamran Daudpoto, had committed suicide a few years ago. Mariam’s brother, Mubashir Hussain, has alleged that the man’s son-in-law was involved in the murder to obtain the deceased man’s property. The chief minister has ordered investigations into the matter.
