The Indian Deputy High Commissioner in Islamabad was called to the Foreign Office on Monday where the Director General South Asia and SAARC registered a formal protest over the actions of Indian authorities on March 15, a statement by ministry of foreign affairs read.
Pakistan demanded that the fishermen be immediately released their boat returned.
Pakistan’s Fishermen Cooperative Society claimed that the fishermen along with their boat were well within Pakistan’s territorial waters, at Khajar Creek, when they were captured by Indian authorities.
The foreign office conveyed its concern over the incident, saying that it was not only against international law and practices, but was also against the spirit of positive steps being taken by the governments of both countries to improve and normalise bilateral relations.

since sir creek is ours how they dared to come close to it they will b punished in indian court
Hope Indian GOI will take care of them well until they release. Don't repeat same fate that took place to Indian fishermen who were killed in Pakistani Jails. These are poor people, we won't achieve anything by torturing them.
Indian bullying. Any doubt, ask any of India's neighbors. Unfortunately, Pakistanis and Kashmiris get the worst abuse. Injustice cannot last forever.
I don't know how much we can believe our government's story on any thing. They have lost all credibility, honestly. We should wait for the Indian version, may be the truth is somewhere in between.
When diplomacy targets fishermen, the weakest and poorest of people, its not diplomacy. It's plain simple pointless bullying or point scoring at the expense of the weak.......but then that's exactly what bullies do.
Asking for return of boat, What about Indian boat which were auction of by Pakistan. Just search ET paper few week back.
Do we have Pakistani High Commissioner in India? Why is he not aggressively taking up the issue with the authorities in India to ensure timely release. Seems like a lethargic attitude and business as usual.
That's what fishermen from both sides claim when they are caught in each other's water.Pakistani diplomat is always whining against india. Like india would jump into their waters, poach Pakistani prisoners, overfill its jails, burden india's economy/population and foot the bill to the indian exchequer to pay for their food, clothing, shelter, maintenance, jail etc for life. Trust deficit folks! Trust deficit! People crossing into each other's waters are suspected as potential spies, extremists, illegal immigrant etc none of the countries that get hold of them release them, or let's them go, not until through enquiry atleast.
Release our fishermen..we will release your's...simple
