Increased cover: LG Act 2013 extended to PATA

The governor has ordered that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Local Government Act, 2013 shall also apply to the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (Pata) from December 23, 2013, when it was extended in the province by the President of Pakistan. According to a notification issued by the department of Home and Tribal Affairs, Governor Shaukatullah Khan carried out the order in exercise of the powers conferred by clause 3 of Article 247 of the Constitution with the approval of the president.
