Eminent visitor: Om Puri calls on Hamza Shahbaz

Says visit of Atal Bihari Vajpayee to Pakistan in 1997 and the Lahore Accord were important milestones.

LAHORE: “Kindness and affection can have an impact beyond national borders,” said MNA Hamza Shahbaz on Thursday. He was talking to newsmen with Indian actor Om Puri who called on him at Model Town. Shahbaz said the prime minister was focusing on his commitment to restoring cordial relations with neighbouring countries. He said exchange of trade and cultural delegations between Pakistan and India and competitions in sports would be beneficial for people of both countries.  He said the visit of Indian premier Atal Bihari Vajpayee to Pakistan in 1997 and the Lahore Accord were important milestones in relations of both countries.
