IED blast: Security forces’ water tanker destroyed

Official says heavy contingents of khasadar and security forces official rushed to site and launched search operation.

PARACHINAR: A tanker supplying water to the security forces in Kurram Agency was destroyed when a roadside IED exploded in Kurram Agency on Thursday. An official of the security forces said no loss of life was reported in the incident. The official added that unidentified militants had planted a roadside IED in Shahedanu Dandh area of Lower Kurram where a security forces water tanker was crossing the road. The bomb was detonated using a remote-controlled device, completely destroying the vehicle. The official said that heavy contingents of khasadar and security forces official rushed to the site and launched a search operation while forces also pounded suspected militants hideouts in the area by artillery shells.
