Targeted killing: Two people shot dead in Quetta

After the legal formalities the bodies were handed over to heirs for burial.

QUETTA: At least two people were gunned down in an apparent incident of targeted killing in Nawa Killi area of Quetta on Wednesday. According to SP Sadar Police Station Mohammad Notezai, unidentified men riding motorcycle opened fire at two people walking down the street in Pashtoonabad area of Nawa Killi. The victims identified as Abdul Ghafar and Mohammad Raheem received multiple bullet wounds in head and chest and died on the spot. The attackers escaped from the crime scene unchallenged. Police rushed to the spot soon after and the deceased were taken to the Civil Hospital Quetta for autopsy. “The victims were residents of Nawa Killi and investigations are underway to determine the motive behind twin killings,” Mohammad Notezai said. After the legal formalities the bodies were handed over to heirs for burial.
