DSP headquarters Sanaullah Khan said FC official Shariatullah, who was deputed at the Balahisar Fort, was on leave and arrived in the district on Tuesday.
The incident occurred when he and his brother Arshadullah were riding on a motorcycle in Nala Tochi Naya Pul area.
He said two unidentified armed men opened fire at them, killing them both on the spot.
The deceased men’s uncle Sakhi Noor filed an FIR against unidentified persons at Huwaid police station.
