RAWALPINDI: Unidentified gunmen shot dead a man and his son after storming their shop on Tipu Road late on Sunday. Investigation Officer Azhar Hussain from the Waris Khan police said Muhammad Yousaf and his son Farooq were sitting at their shop when masked assailants showed up at the shop on a motorcycle and opened fire on them. According to the police official, both sustained serious gunshot wounds and were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital. However, they died of blood loss during treatment, the police said. The assailants fled the scene, according to the police. The police failed to say anything concrete about the possible motive behind the attack, only saying the family had no personal enmities. The deceased were residents of Lala Musa and living in Dhok Kashmirian. The victims ran a mobile payment service outlet. A blind murder case has been registered by the police.
