The police have arrested two assassins who allegedly killed two persons and injured another during robbery attempts in Sabzi Mandi and Shehzad town, a police spokesman said.
According to details, unidentified persons tried to loot Sadaat general store’ in Sabzi Mandi on December 11, 2013 and shot dead Syed Waqar Sherazi when he offered resistance.
The robbers also took away cash and other valuables from the shop and a case was registered following the complaint by Syed Waheed.
A special police team was constituted to trace the culprits which succeeded to arrest an Afghan national, Jia ul Haq alias Kaleem involved in this murder.
The police have accelerated efforts to arrest his other accomplices after preliminary investigation from the accused.
Meanwhile, police have arrested another robber Shehbaz Ahmed who injured Zahid after firing in a bid to loot medical store at Alipur in Shehzad town.
The accused also killed his own accomplice during this robbery attempt.
