PESHAWAR: An Adezai Aman Lashkar member was shot dead in Mattani Bazaar near his shop on Thursday morning.

The police said Shams Rehman was standing near his wholesale store when an unidentified man shot him in the head. Rehman was taken to Lady Reading Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Farman Khan, a leader of the lashkar, told The Express Tribune that Rehman was an active member of Adezai Aman Lashkar.

Khan claimed this was not the first time someone from the lashkar had fallen victim to such an attack. In the past, he said, they have lost at least 120 people to bomb blasts and killings.
