The spokesperson claimed that at least 126 suspected target killers, 181 suspected extortionists, 12 suspected high-profile terrorists and 18 alleged kidnappers were amongst those who were booked in a total of 1,839 targeted raids from September 5, 2013 when Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited the metropolitan in a bid to devise a strategy to curb violence.
The Rangers revealed that as many as 78 suspected criminals were killed in 52 encounters. Six Rangers personnel were also killed during this time. 18 abductees were recovered from during this period as well.
The force confiscated 3,236 weapons during their raids which included rocket propelled grenades, hand grenades, rocket launchers, light and sub-machine guns, rifles, shotguns, explosives, detonators, bulletproof jackets, ammunition, improvised explosive devices and narcotics.
80 suspects arrested in fresh raids
Rangers conducted raids in various parts of Karachi and arrested at least 80 suspected criminals, Express News reported on Thursday.
Many of the suspects were released after initial investigation.
Rangers arrested 25 of the suspects during a raid in Attaur Rahman Goth. They also seized a vehicle, 14 pistols, three Klashnikovs, three guns, 30 magazines and 15,000 cartridges during the raid.

Where there is a will, there is a way! Taking provincial government onbaord which is party to the overall mess is a joke in itself. Fed or Provincial govt have never been serious about Karachi, not now nor in the past.
What kind of people are these? Reportedly, they slaughtered one also. Can it get any disgusting than this?

They are seen operating nearly in all areas in the city as paper pickers and hardly any physical check has been noticed being conducted for their identity and the material being carried during odd hours.
