Ex-Pemra chief: NAB inquiry enters final stage
Sources say NAB started inquiry against former chairman PEMRA for his alleged misuse of authority.
ISLAMABAD:
The inquiry into misuse of authority and violation of rules by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) former chairman Chaudhry Abdul Rasheed has entered in its final stages. According to NAB sources, the inquiry officer is expected to present the report in the meeting of the executive board and the board will either approve the continuation of the investigation or its closure. The sources said NAB started the inquiry against Rasheed for his alleged misuse of authority, corruption and violation of rules in the capacity of PIO, Secretary Information and Chairman Pemra and an inquiry officer was appointed who has recorded the statements of officers and other employees of the ministry of information and the report will be presented to the NAB chairman in 10 days.
