Green campaign: ‘415,000 trees to be planted’

Will be planted during a special campaign in the division, says Divisional Forest Officer Liaqat Gulzar.

MULTAN: “The Forest Department will plant 415,000 trees during a special campaign in the division,” Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Liaqat Gulzar said on Wednesday.

Gulzar told the media that the department had asked the farmed to help make the campaign a success. He said 150,000 trees would be planted at Pirowal Forest and 20,000 at government institutions. The DFO said the department had set up nurseries at several places in the division to facilitate people. He said special Forest Department teams had been directed to monitor the drive daily.
