Over alleged affair: Two brothers kill mother, cousin

Official says Nadir and Javed killed their mother Nighat Bibi over her suspected affair with their cousin Dawood.

NOWSHERA: Two brothers allegedly gunned down their mother and cousin for being involved in an illicit relationship and injured two other family members in Asokhel area of Nizampur on Wednesday. A police official said Nadir and Javed shot and killed their mother Nighat Bibi over her suspected affair with their cousin Dawood. The accused’s brother, Jawad, was injured in the incident while trying to save their mother. The official added both the accused went to Dawood’s house after killing their mother and gunned him down. Dawood’s sister Gul Naz was injured in the line of fire. Both injured were rushed to the DHQ Hospital and then shifted to Lady Reading Hospital due to their critical condition while the accused managed to flee after committing the crime. The police official said they registered an FIR on the complaint of Dawood’s mother and started investigation.
