Andy Murray takes a step into the unknown as he returns to action by making his debut in Acapulco this week where he will face Pablo Andujar for a first time, according to Skysports.

Murray is normally found over in the Dubai Duty Free Championship at this time of the year, but he has opted for a change of scenery as he continues his recovery from last year’s back surgery.

The event in Mexico is being played on hardcourts for the first time after being staged on clay for the last 20 years, which has given Murray the opportunity to sample the event. The World Number seven is seeded second in Mexico behind three-time champion David Ferrer.
