Murder of judge’s son: SC calls for progress report

3 member bench take notice of brutal murder & directs police authorities to file report.

KARACHI: Supreme Court Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani directed the Sindh police additional IG for legal affairs and the Hyderabad SSP on Tuesday to file a report outlining details of the investigation into the murder of the son of a district and sessions judge. Kashif Ali, son of Jacobabad’s district and sessions judge Justice Khalid Hussain Shahani, was murdered last week near Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad. On Monday, a three-member bench took notice of the brutal murder and directed the police authorities to file a report to inform them if the killers of Ali were brought to the book or not. The bench called the report within two weeks.
