Caught on time: Grenade defused near Iranian consulate
Just a day ago, a suicide bomb attack on the same building left three security personnel dead and nine others injured.
PESHAWAR:
A grenade found near the Iranian consulate in University Town, Peshawar was defused by the bomb disposal unit (BDU) on Tuesday. Just a day ago, a suicide bomb attack on the same building left three security personnel dead and nine others injured. According to the BDU spokesperson, policemen on patrol found a grenade which Monday’s suicide bomber might have thrown at a railway track near the Iranian consulate. BDU staffers rushed to the spot and defused the device.
