PESHAWAR:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KPCCI) on Monday said if Pakistan Railways ensures swift delivery of goods between Peshawar and Karachi, Peshawar’s business community will shift all their business to the railways.

“We will carry out our business through the railway tracks if service delivery is improved and goods are transported within four to five days between Peshawar and Karachi,” said Ziaul Haq Sarhadi, chairman of the KPCCI standing committee on dry ports, at a meeting of the committee. Sarhadi said the railway authorities should focus on improving conditions of dry ports, as Afghan Transit Trade was suffering as a result.
