People responsible for spreading Islam are targeted in the name of religion by people who are terrorists.
ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to October 25’s blast at Baba Farid’s shrine in Pakpattan. It is so unfortunate that people and ideologies responsible for spreading Islam in the subcontinent are being targeted in the name of the very religion by people who are nothing but terrorists. The Data Darbar and the Abdullah Shah Ghazi and Baba Farid shrines symbolise an enlightened version of Islam led by lovers of humanity who believe in a peaceful coexistence. The state’s inability to safeguard and promote symbols of harmony and humanity reflects poorly on our willingness to fight the menace of religious terrorism.
