CHARSADDA:

Lower courts are now following the upper hierarchy of the judiciary, said Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Mian Fasihul Mulk while addressing the Tangi bar on Saturday.

CJ Mian Fasihul Mulk also visited his native village in Charsadda, and paid respects at his father’s grave in Jora, as well as chairing a meeting on the judiciary at the district judge’s house.

During his address to the Tangi bar, the CJ stated the judiciary must try to facilitate its clients at all costs. Lower courts are also making efforts for the provision of speedy justice in all cases, he claimed.

CJ Mulk said the government was constructing a district judicial complex in Charsadda, at an estimated cost of Rs800 million. He also announced he will gift books on law owned by his father and himself to the district bar library. The CJ pledged money out of his own pocket to purchase two computer systems and a printer for the Charsadda bar as well as one computer and printer for the Tangi bar.
