Skipper Angelo Mathews took the team to the win in company of Ashan Priyanjan, the two added 41 runs for the fifth wicket.

Bangladesh struggled to make an impact with the ball as the win was sealed by the Islanders; Mahmudullah fought a lone battle for his team taking two wickets while conceding 38 runs in his quota of 10 overs.

Rubel Hossain took two expensive wickets; the pacer was taken for 69 runs in his 10 overs. Perera was declared man of the match for his enterprising knock that forced the hosts on the back foot from the outset.
