Iqbal Mehmood takes over as acting IGP Sindh
After 25 years of service, Baloch had retired from police force on Wednesday.

Additional Inspector General of Crime Investigation Department (CID) Iqbal Mehmood has taken charge as the acting IG Sindh on Thursday.
In light of the retirement of Inspector General (IG) Sindh Police Shahid Nadeem Baloch, Mehmood has provisionally taken over reigns of the top cop in the province.
After 25 years of service, Baloch had retired from police force on Wednesday.
A notification has been issued by the chief secretary office to this effect on Thursday, said Central Police Office spokesperson.
Mehmood is one of the senior most officials in the Sindh police and has served at a number of posts including as the Additional Inspector General of Karachi twice and as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) at different places.
