Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz conveyed to Afghan authorities Pakistan’s protest against the killing of 23 FC personnel inside Afghan territory.

According to ministry of foreign affairs press release, Aziz conveyed Pakistan’s serious concerns regarding slaying of 23 FC personnel by Taliban inside Afghanistan to Afghan foreign minister Zarar Maqbool Osmani at the sidelines of SAARC Ministerial meeting in Male on Thursday.

Aziz urged the Afghan government to take prompt action against the perpetrator of this heinous act.

He reminded the Afghan minister that it was agreed by the Pakistan and Afghanistan at the Trilateral Summit in Ankara recently that both countries would not only prevent the use of their territory against each other but also take action against militants engaged in hostile action.

Osmani assured that he would convey Pakistan’s concern to the relevant authorities in Afghanistan and revert shortly.

@sterry: " Afghanistan is a lawless land with a degree of corruption and anarchy which is unrivalled " ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ now substitute Afghanistan with Pakistan. Very Valid.

Jag Nathan | 10 years ago | Reply I pity the fate of the poor men who had their heads cut off by these barbarians. Its the worst way to die. Every soldier has a right to a bullet. But to have his head sawed off is the worst act of desecration that can be done to a soldier and the sacrifice he has made for his nation even if it is your enemy's man. In the same breath, I would like Pakistanis to remember what ISI's man Iliyas Kashmiri did to a wounded Indian soldier. Kashmiri cut off a wounded man's head and danced with in his village square in Pakistan held Kashmir in celebration of the macabre act he had committed. We never heard any cries of outrage at that time. What goes around comes round.
